Welcome to our Craft Club

For the month of August 1999

This month's craft focused on seeds and nuts.

Seed Mosaic

Materials:
glue
construction paper
crayon
at least three of the following: unpopped popcorn; pumpkin seeds; dried beans; dried peas; bird seed
plastic food storage bag (ziploc baggie)- 1 gallon size
tape
yarn or twine
hole puncher

Have your child draw a picture on the paper with the crayons. Then spread glue on the part of the drawing and let them pour seeds/nuts on the glue. Then put glue on another part of the drawing and have them pick a different item to pour onto that secton. Continue until the whole drawing is covered. Then place the finished artwork into a ziploc baggie, seal it up. Punch holes at the top of the artwork (in the baggie) and tie the string through it... giving it a way to hang up.

You have a seed mosaic!!
