This month's craft was very simple for the kids, and they had so much fun doing them! No prior cutting was necessary at all - the kids get to do it all, if they can use scissors.
Craft of the Month!
Turkeys
Materials:
Construction Paper, popsicle sticks, scissors, crayons/pens & gluestick
This craft is ultra simple. Just take some brown construction paper & have your child place their hand down on it with fingers spread out. Trace their hand carefully. Then either you cut it our or have the child cut it out ...just the hand. Color the hand so that it looks like a turkey. Maybe add a little extra piece for the beak (see photo). Then, write "Thankful for..." on the palm/body & have the child think of 4 things they are thankful for! This helps teach them the meaning behind Thanksgiving, too! Then glue it onto a stick and you are done. I may go the extra step and glue mine onto a magnet and stick it on my fridge every year!
