The Cooking Club was cancelled this month, so there is no theme, but the following recipe was submitted by Elisabeth, the new President of our newest sister chapter, Cal Oaks! Bon Appetit!
Blonde Brownies
2/3 cup butter
2-2/3 cups whole wheat flour
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolite bits
1 pound dark brown sugar
21/2 tsp baking powder
3 egss
1/2 tsp salt
Melt butter over low heat. When melted, remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Cool. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Stir in dry ingredients, then add chocolate bits. Spread in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut into bars.
