The Cooking Club theme for this month was "Breads".
This month's winner was submitted by Christiane ... who also happened to be the hostess! Congratulations!

Saffron Braids Bread

3/4 c water
2 c white bread flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1-1/2 Tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp saffron (optional)
1 sp yeast (fast rising)
2 tsp yeast (active dry)

Remove dough from bread machine after the dough or manual cycle is completed. Turn dough out onto floured surface (it will be sticky) & pinch down. Divide and make 3 ropes about 9" long. Pinch ropes together at one end, braid, and pinch together at other end to secure braid. Transfer to greased baking sheet. Let rise until double in size (about one hour). Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
