Recipe of the Month for October 1999!



Our Cooking Club winner for this month was Krista, with this yummy recipe!!

Apple Nut Ring

2 pkgs (7.5 oz each) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1/3 cup nuts, chopped
2 medium Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sepreate biscuits. In 1 quart batter bowl combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip biscuits in butter; roll in sugar mixture. Arrange in deep dish baker. Cut apple slices crosswise. Place an apple slice between each biscuit and around outer edge of baker. Mix nuts with remaining sugar mixture; sprinkle over apples. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are deep golden brown. Serve warm.
Yield: 10 servings
